What's This?

I noticed some people still coming to this site, and that's great and all, but I should probably let you all know some pretty important news: BRP no longer exists.

Well, we exist, but we're now part of a much larger group, the Ontario Anime Society. That website is being built, and it may be done by the time you read this, so head over there! At the very least, come drop by our message boards! Thanks. ^^

Hi all. After a con in the states its good to be at one on Canadian soil.

I am talking about Anime North 2007

I was really tired this con and only snapped 82 photos which can be found here

But this Anime North, Boxed Rice Productions along with East West Gaijin and friends entered the Friday Masquerade contest (aka the Skit contest) with our entry Time Warp 2.0 which took home Artisan awards "Judges' Choice" and "Speical Invite Guest Judges' (who were Nan Yan) Choice" awards.

As an added Bonus I took home in the Masters' Division the "Most likely to get the Surgeon General's Warming" award for my entry "Try Pocky" (entry #80) in the Saturday Masquerade contest.

P.S. Huge thanks to TorontoJack who put up the video of our entry on Youtube. ^^

Well, we did something we weren't expecting to do: We went to Anime Boston 2007. To say the least, it was fantastic, with what has to be the best run masquerade I've ever seen, complete with a feedback panel which I feel so many cons desperately need.

Anyhow, between Johnny and myself, we took 197 photos, all of which can be found in the Anime Boston 2007 Gallery. Enjoy, and give us a holler if you see yourself!

I just attended the first ever Valentine's Eve Anime Ball at the York Woods Toronto District Public Library.

Photos are here , so enjoy!

It wasn't so much as a ball or dance, but more of a lecture and movie. Lecture was Emilie-Claire Barlow (Salior Mars voice actor & Jazz singer), and the "Ah! My Goddess: The Movie" was shown.

So photos were taken, cosplayed was had, and a free movie to boot. Good times!

Following Johnny's lead, my DTAC photos are up. Only 40 of them this year, and I didn't have my Nikon 8800 with me, which sucked. I'm sort of relegated to using the older PowerShot until my replacement battery charger comes in this week. I honestly can't stand the picture quality on it anymore, but it'll do for now. Got some nice shots. Some of them are just random flashbangs by friends though, especially those towards the end.

If you want original sizes of any for printing, let me know.
